This is Titus.

He is a red head and everything that goes with it. He is spunky, feisty, determined, kind, compassionate, and figuring out life as it comes to him.

He loves to wear socks with his sandals and I love to tell him how weird that is.

He loves music. He has been to more concerts than he should have been and somehow thinks that meeting Crowder on the street, Red backstage, and singing with TobyMac at a meet and greet is normal.

He loves sports and is a determined Cardinal fan, despite my attempts to raise him as a Royals fan. He has been to K-State games, IU games, Cardinals games, and Royals games. He loves to play baseball, but has found a passion in football.

He has been to Taiwan and seen an orphanage there. He led our family to adopt, when he told us about a simple dream of a brother who was tan and then described specific details of their interactions to us.

He is an incredible big brother, a loyal friend, and determined to accomplish whatever he sets his mind to. Failure isn't really an option for Titus (we are working on that.)

At 11 years old Titus has lived a life of adventure. He loves life and lives it fully.

Next year Titus enters that daunting world of Jr. High. It really doesn't seem possible that he is going to be in 7th grade, and yet it is very real.

He is entering a new world with new challenges and new adventures and before he enters it Robyn and I feel that it is important to take him on one more.

This coming June 25-July 2, Titus and I (James) will be in Honduras with 147millionorphans on one of their serving trips. While there we will work with an established orphanage as well as help 30 families reestablish a life, after the government displaced them.

Over the past two months Titus has taken amazing initiative to begin learning Spanish (from friends and school and recently on an iPod app) and in letting his heart be open. Every day he prays for those who have less, for those who need a family, and for those who need food. He prays for them by name and he lets his faith be involved in their struggle.

I am so excited to go on this adventure with Titus. I am excited to help him, at a young age, see beyond the things that he has and realize the difference that he can make in the world. I pray that he never forgets what it is to serve and to love the poor and the powerless. To make a difference in the life of the fatherless and the widow.

The adventure of his life is very young, he is going to go places and do things that many of us have never dreamed of.

This is Titus. World changer in the making.
